About This Conference

This October 2024

The 37th Asian Association of Open Universities Annual Conference (AAOU 2024) will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 15-17 October 2024. The theme of the conference is “Expanding Horizons: Innovation in Open and Distance Learning”. The conference will focus on the future of open universities in the digitalized higher education era, driven by challenging learner needs, technological advancements, the impact of COVID-19, and the rise of online learning. With traditional universities also offering online education, the roles of open universities are being re-evaluated. We are inviting academia, scholars, researchers, practitioners, students, and administrative and services staff to submit their research papers, innovations, and best practices.
